Youth Group
Outdoor Skills & Creativity Programme
(Ages 12–16)
Join us on Tuesdays, 4 - 6pm, for a rolling outdoor programme where young people can explore bushcraft, forest school activities, and creative making in a safe, supportive environment.
This collaboration between We Are Wonder and Rumpus Room offers young people a supported space to develop practical skills, confidence, and connection with others through creative outdoor experiences.
FREE To attend thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund.
What We’ll Do
We’ll keep using the yard as a base and spend more time out in Queen's Park, getting to know the landscape and the materials we can work with.
There’ll be more crafting- woven things, natural dyes, pigments, drawing, cooking - alongside space for young people to follow their own ideas a bit more.
Some sessions will be more guided, some more open.
Activities might include;
Bushcraft and firecraft
Cooking on an open fire
Exploring natural art materials: weaving, carving, charcoal art, dyeing
Foraging and outdoor discovery
Team games and creative challenges
All activities are supervised by three experienced youth/forest school practitioners (1:6 ratio) and follow established fire and tool safety approaches.
